The SuSE 10.1 workstation image is rolled out and working; it's time to start worrying about 10.2

Packages to be dropped

  • Mathematica 5.2 - produces very odd error messages; 6.0 will be installed instead
  • numarray - even the numarray people say 'do not use this code'; does anyone here really still need it?
  • PGI 6.x - no choice, not supported in 10.2.

Proposed new supported packages
