Confused by authentication for off-site access to subscribed resources?

The change from Athens to Raven authentication has prompted a question about how to login with Raven if there is no obvious way to do so on the resource page. In this case select the Athens link but then look for an 'alternative login'. Select 'UK access management federation' and 'University of Cambridge' to be directed to the Cambridge Raven login page. Do not enter your Raven ID and password in the Athens sign-in box.

Connecting to ejournals from home

If you are experiencing difficulties linking to ejournals from home because access is restricted to the Cambridge University network or there are problems with the Raven login it is possible to apply for a Computing Services VPDN account. This is a free service but registration is necessary. For more information on linking from outside the network see: http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/docs/remote.html
